Inattentive Process

Inattentive Process

A new body of work that emerged mid 2023 exploring a long held habit of hoarding and intervening on images of my own creative process by combining them, digitally drawing into them, or otherwise altering them with very basic tools found on free apps, as well as basic tools in Light Room. I do not know how to use photoshop or AI or any real technology beyond what I can intuit because computers lack tactility and I am a tactile learner. All of the techniques and effects achieved in these works were earnest discoveries for me, not learned techniques or even purposefully desired outcomes. My brain is constantly throwing images at me and it never forgets things it has seen. So in many ways, these composites are close to my inner visual experience. I’ve begun printing them myself on my Epson P900. The prints are archival and slightly textured. What you see here represents a small fraction of tens of thousands of images in my library.
